Course Description
This one-day CSCS green labourer course highlights potential hazards when working on site and provides practical advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. It covers your individual and employer’s responsibilities, including what you can do if you think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk. The course provides health and safety awareness and is endorsed by Build UK as the standard training for all operatives on site.
The course is essential for those wishing to obtain an industry Green site card.
Access to the Course: The invitation link for the video call will be sent to you in a separate email. Please check your inbox or regular bases.
Please note that you will require the following:
• Wi-Fi
• A private room
• Photographic ID
• PC/Laptop* with front-facing camera and Chrome set as default browser
Learning Materials: You will receive a separate email containing information on how to access Health and Safety Awareness e-book assigned to you from https://www.hsepublications.co.uk/MySubscriptions. You will have access to the Health and Safety Awareness e-book for 12 months from the day of activation.
Delegates are required to complete the full day to be eligible for certification.
In addition to the above, you will need to complete a CITB touch screen test (known as the CSCS Test. The test takes 45 mins, it is multiple choice. With the two certificates we can then apply for your card. The course fee does not include a touchscreen test and CSCS card.

- How your role fits into the control and management of the site
- Performing safely and asking for advice
- How to report unsafe acts to prevent an accident
Examination
The question paper consists of 25 multiple-choice questions: 20 questions are worth one mark each and 5 questions are worth two marks each.
The delegates must obtain 25 marks out of 30 (83%) or more in order to pass the examination. The examination lasts 30 minutes and must be completed within this time. This is a closed book exam.
Certification for this course is valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the course before the expiry date.
