Course Description

This is an exciting course for anyone with a genuine love of literature. A wide range of literature will be studied ranging from Shakespeare and poetry to prose and modern literature. You will engage creatively with a substantial body of texts and develop your knowledge of literary analysis and evaluation in speech and writing. You will explore the contexts of texts and interpretations of them, and deepen your understanding of the changing traditions of literature in English.

Course Entry Guidelines

In addition to the Sixth Form entry criteria, students wishing to study this subject are required to have a minimum grade 6 in English Literature at GCSE (or equivalent).
