Course Description

Students develop an understanding of German in a variety of contexts and genres, and learn to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively. They will also develop an awareness and understanding of the contemporary society, cultural background and heritage of the countries or communities where German is spoken.

Course Entry Guidelines

In addition to the Sixth Form entry criteria, students wishing to study this subject are required to have a minimum grade 5 in German and a good pass in English Language or English Literature at GCSE (or equivalent).
