Course Description
The Accounts/Finance Assistant Level 2 Standard will develop students accountancy skills in double-entry bookkeeping and basic costing, as well as an understanding of purchase, sales and general ledgers.
Who is this course for?
The Accounts/Finance Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard is suited to junior members of staff who are looking to develop their skills and update their qualifications in Accounting or Finance.
What will you study?
The Accounts/Finance Assistant Apprenticeship standard introduces Apprentices to a range of essential knowledge and skills needed to be a successful financial professional.
Topics include:
- Basic bookkeeping
- Working with sales and purchase ledgers
- Commercial law and following policies and procedures
- The importance of the need to keep up-to-date with relevant policies, procedures, regulatory or system changes
- Understanding your own role within the context of your organisation
Where will the apprenticeship take place?
This will be a mixture of development in the workplace and knowledge workshops at our premises in Liverpool & St Helens and via virtual learning platforms.
Progression Opportunities
On successful completion, Apprentices could progress onto the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Standard with the option to complete a Level 3 qualification.
