What will you study?
Working towards a range of skills, knowledge and behaviour standards that are necessary for your role. Such as leadership and management skills, risk management, evidence based practice, ethics, resource management, collaboration and partnership working, legislation and compliance, leading and managing a team, leading and managing group living, leading practice to support children and young people, implementing policies and procedures.
Where will the course take place?
This will be a mixture of development in the workplace, independent learning, remote visits and knowledge training sessions at our St Helens or Liverpool premises or via webinars.
Progression Opportunities
Students can also progress to the following job roles though further professional development/qualification may be required once in post of registered residential childcare managers, managers, deputy and assistant managers in other children and young people’s social care settings. Students could progress onto a degree in a related discipline such has a Social Work degree.
