Course Description
Students will develop a range of behaviours expected of a Practitioner in Children’s Residential Care and core requirements.
Who is the course for?
People working as Manager in Children’s Residential Care who have responsibility for the management of a team or service. Students need to be working in the role of Deputy or Manager in an appropriate setting, or have the opportunity to carry out responsibilities associated with these roles.
Progression Opportunities
Students can progress to the following job roles, however further professional development/qualifications may be required once in post of registered residential childcare managers, managers, deputy and assistant managers in other children and young people’s social care settings.
Students could progress onto a degree in a related discipline such as a Social Work degree.

Where will training be taking place?
This will be a mixture of development in the workplace, independent learning, remote visits and knowledge training sessions at our premises in Liverpool & St Helens and via virtual learning platforms.
