Course Description
Students will learn a range of ways in which they can help with children’s development, and will learn skill specific to their roles.
Who is the course for?
Early Years Educators, and other job roles such as nursery nurse and childminders, are highly trained professionals who play a key role in ensuring that young children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe.
Students may either be working on their own or supervising others to deliver learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old.
What will you study?
Students will learn a range of ways in which they can help with children’s development, and will learn skill specific to their roles.
Topics include:
- The significance of attachment and how to promote it effectively
- Theories and philosophical approaches to how children learn and develop, and their influence on practice,
- The importance of promoting diversity, equality and inclusion, fully reflecting cultural differences and family circumstances.
Where will training take place?
This will be a mixture of development in the workplace, independent learning, remote visits and knowledge training session at our premises in Liverpool & St Helens and via virtual learning platforms.
Progression Opportunities
Students can progress into a higher level Apprenticeship standard in teaching or a related area to further their learning.
