Course Description
Students will study a broad range of topics, giving them a good base knowledge of their industry and how to support young children to learn and develop in a safe environment.
Who is the course for?
Students can work in a range of private and public settings including; full day care, children’s centres, pre-schools, reception classes, playgroups, nursery schools, home based provision, hospitals, and social care settings.
This is suitable for students starting out in their careers who want to gain a broad knowledge of the childcare industry.
What will you study?
Students will study a broad range of topics, giving them a good base knowledge of their industry and how to support young children to learn and develop in a safe environment.
Topics include:
- Working in partnership with other colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of each child in line with company policies and procedures
- Using play to support children to understand and encourage healthy life choices
- Identifying issues of safeguarding and child protection, ensuring that the welfare and safety of children is promoted and safeguarded
Where will training take place?
This will be a mixture of development in the workplace, independent learning, remote visits and knowledge training sessions at our premises in Liverpool & St Helens and via virtual learning platforms.
