About Provider
The Mosslands School is a community comprehensive school based in Wallasey. There are approximately 1100 students on roll and 120 of these are in Sixth Form. In years 7 - 11 we only accept applications from boys but we do permit girls to apply for places in Sixth Form.
In the sixth form our curriculum is broad and balanced. There are a number of A Level and vocational courses on offer, all of which are recognised by employers and universities alike and have proven to be successful in ensuring many students move onto their chosen pathway.
At sixth form, we work in partnership with a number of external providers, namely The Engineering College and The Protective Services Academy NW. Working with these allows us to offer some bespoke courses delivered by teachers who have vast amounts of experience and expertise. Destinations upon completion of these courses have been hugely positive.
We offer a small number of level 2 courses to cater for student who perhaps did not achieve the grades needed at GCSE and need an extra year to develop key skills and knowledge.
All students who do not pass GCSE Maths and/or English are expected to re-sit these subjects in addition to their chosen courses of study.
