Baltic Apprenticeships are a tech-focused training provider specialising in IT, Software Development, Digital Marketing, and Data Analysis.
How do our apprenticeships work?
Whether you’re starting your tech journey fresh from school or are looking to change your career path, a Baltic Apprenticeship is an amazing way to gain a recognised qualification and take your place within a fast-growing industry.
Our digital apprenticeships provide the ideal blend of technical training and hands-on industry experience, allowing you to develop the knowledge needed to thrive in a digital role. With the support of the fantastic employers we work with, you will gain real industry experience and invaluable practical skills which will put you well on your way to a successful career in tech.
At Baltic Apprenticeships, 95% of our learners remain in employment after completing their programme - including many who progress onto the next level of apprenticeship training.
Why the tech sector?
As technology continues to advance, the demand for talented employees increases. The digital sector creates new jobs at double the rate of other industries, and salaries offered to digital tech employees are 36% higher than the UK average. As long as digital problems exist in the workplace, talented technology professionals will always be employed!
Baltic Apprenticeships: Employers
The tech sector is constantly evolving and the industry-wide skills gap is making the recruitment of talented tech professionals more difficult than ever. Apprenticeships offer a low cost alternative to bridging the digital skills gap in your organisation, helping you identify and grow your next generation of tech talent.
Our employers range from large multinationals to small and medium sized companies who operate on a local level. If you are wondering how to recruit an apprentice, our expert team make the whole process as simple as possible, giving you more time to focus on your business.
Apprenticeship funding
The majority of apprenticeship training costs can be covered by Government funding.
Usually, the Government will contribute 95% towards the cost of apprenticeship training, with employers topping up the last 5% as a co-investment payment. For eligible SMEs with under 50 employees, the Government can fund 100% of training costs.
Up until September 2021, employers who take on a new apprentice will receive an incentive payment of £3,000. This funding is in addition to the existing £1,000 government grant which already applies to new 16-18 year old apprentices, meaning that some employers could claim as much as £4,000 when they hire an apprentice.

I think for me the main thing I have taken away from the apprenticeship is a confidence in what i do. I know now that if I say something, I'm right: I have confidence in the method I've used to come to my conclusion.

I think that Baltic are a really good training provider. My assessor Kelly was very kind, she always kept me up to date with what was going on. Whenever I put an assignment in for the online courses, they always got straight back to me to offer feedback. It was really informative. All round, really good people work for Baltic.

The Baltic Team were good. They had regular catch-ups with Katie and we'd jump on a call every now and then, mainly to say "Katie's doing great."
We never had any issues; I was confident in the direction that Baltic were taking Katie in, and the targets that were set gave me the confidence that things were going to go smoothly.
It was helpful to hear regular updates, and it was very easy. It didn't take up much of my time at all to be honest, apart from my normal responsibilities as a manager: checking in and helping Katie out.
